Three patterns. Not three boxes.

In Ayurveda, Vata, Pitta and Kapha describe patterns of qualities. This questionnaire explores which descriptions fit your own experience. A blend is possible; you do not need to fit one label.

Vata

Air + space

Movement · lightness · variability

Pitta

Fire + water

Heat · sharpness · intensity

Kapha

Earth + water

Steadiness · heaviness · stability

Not just “what type am I?”

  1. 01 · Prakriti

    Your long-standing patterns

Think about traits that have been familiar over your life, rather than only the week you are having.

  2. 02 · Vikriti

    Your current experience

Answer separately for how you feel now: digestion, sleep, movement and other everyday patterns.

  3. 03 · Your Dosha profile

    A result you can revisit

See the two views together. When life changes, use the current-state update without replacing your long-standing baseline.

A lens to explore. Not a medical verdict.

This is a self-reported questionnaire informed by Ayurvedic tradition. It does not measure physiology or diagnose a condition. Medical advice, relevant bloodwork and safety constraints take priority over a Dosha interpretation.

Before you begin

Can I have more than one Dosha?

Yes. Ayurvedic descriptions include mixed constitutions. Read the qualities and your answers rather than treating a single label as a fixed identity.

What is the difference between Prakriti and Vikriti?

In Ayurvedic tradition, Prakriti describes constitutional patterns and Vikriti describes the current state. AliveNow asks about each separately; questionnaire results are not proof of a biological type.

Can I update my result?

Yes. Your profile has a current-state update. A full retake is also available. Starting a test does not delete a previously saved result.

What if I am not sure about an answer?

Choose “Not sure” instead of guessing. That answer adds no weight to any Dosha.

Do I need my birth details?

No. This Dosha assessment uses your own observations, not birth-chart calculations.

Who can see my result?

Your result belongs in your personal profile. Taking the test does not automatically post it to your group or give a coach access.
